Board Member – Maureen Hanrahan

Maureen’s professional background in nursing, health education and organizational leadership has fed her passion for prevention and innovation, especially for the most vulnerable populations. She holds a BS Nursing from the University of Maryland and a MA in Health Education from the University of Northern Colorado. Prior to her retirement, Maureen served as National Director of Charitable Care and Coverage in the Department of Community Benefit at Kaiser Permanente National Offices. In this role, she was responsible for strategic planning, implementation, management and evaluation of products and services for the most vulnerable populations in Kaiser Permanente communities. Her community benefit investment portfolio was $1b annually. As part of this role, she needed to understand public programs for the vulnerable or poor such as Medicaid and Medicare as well as unmet needs.
